Andrea Bowen (born Andrea Bowen) is an American actress. She began her career appearing on Broadway musicals like Les Miserables and The Sound of Music. In 2004, she started performing the part of Julie Mayer on the ABC comedy-drama series Desperate Housewives, a role she played on a regular up to 2008. Julie Alexandra Mayer's parents are Susan Delfino (mother) and Karl Mayer. Julie was Susan's ideal childhood friend. She cooked, did the washing and gave dating tips.
